I took my Ford Explorer in October 2011 for new tires and replacement of 2 bearings.  I was told my brakes were in the yellow category 3.  So I brought in the Explorer for new brakes pads on April 20, 2012.  I was told my brake pads were in the yellow category 6 and did not need replacing.  I was also charged the full amount for brake inspection (Mike).  None of my bonus award from the previous repairs were applied to my bill.

I was very pleased with the service that I received when I picked up my truck. The check engine light came on and I was very nervous about driving the truck any further, so I called the service department when this happened. The gentleman that I spoke with asked me a few questions and then explained that I could dirve the vehicle but make an appointment to take it in. So that is what I did, then when I got home I decided that I just couldn't wait until Friday (the appointment date) to take it in because I knew that I wouldn't sleep not knowing if the truck was ok. So the next morning I called the service desk again and asked if there might be an opening sooner. He told me that I could take it in that same day, early am. So off I went to Gentilini Ford in Woodbine where I bought the truck. I didnt have to wait long for them to tell me that they had to replace a sensor, but did not have the part; it had to be ordered. They would call me when the part came in and it would be best if I dropped the truck off the night before so that it would be cooled when they worked on it. So that is what I did. I called them the next day to see if the truck was ready and the gentleman said that it was complete except for the paperwork, and that by the time I got there it would be ready.

The only problem is that I would like to find out how something like this could happen when the truck is only six months old. It makes me wonder if maybe I might have more serious problems later. I am concerned, but I still love my truck.
